Security in a relationship lies neither in looking back to what it was in nostalgia, nor forward to what it might be in dread or anticipation, but living in the present relationship and accepting it as it is now.
One must accept the security of the winged life, of the ebb and flow, of intermittency."
Anne Morrow Lindbergh
Gift From the Sea
Very thoughtful. Though in a relationship that is and has been always painful, it is sometimes hard to distinguish the today from the yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI've missed reading your ever thoughtful words.
I look at it as though there is a hidden message there. Perhaps one might need a winged life? Thank you for letting me know you've missed my blog. It's been a rough time. Finally coming out of it.
