  2. You have a very unusual selection. Have you read them all?

  3. I have not read a single one of those books on your list. I have read a lot of books too. Kind of surprises me. Also, you have a book listed twice, can't recall the exact title but it had the word death in it, maybe by Caldwell? Then lastly, what is the significance of the post title? Books in the spare bedroom? Why are they there, less significant? Not enough space on the bookcase? Just curious, thought it was an intriguing title. Now for my shameless link to myself, sorry.

  4. Hi Steve,
Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving your comment. Yes, the book by Taylor Caldwell is on the list twice. I have two copies and I created the list according to how the books were on my shelves at the time.

The significance of the title has to do with the fact that I had seven large bookcases in my house over full with books.

I was in a stage of my life where I was trying to divest myself of extra "stuff". Clearing out the bookshelves was one of the methods I was using at the time.

It just seemed appropriate that I honor the books by title before I said farewell to them.

I still have two bookcases left. and 415 books in my Kindle;about 98% of them were free. Plenty of reading for the rest of my life, I suspect.

Thank you for your discreet way of providing your link.

  5. That's what I was wondering. If you had an excess number of books. I seem to not be able to get rid of my books. I have most from childhood (that I read, not little kid ones,) books from middle and upper schools, college, you name it. Not 7 bookcases worth, not even close, but a lot. I don't foresee myself getting rid of them unless I have to. I love the smells, the feel, the memories of reading them, where I was, etc. Thanks for posting my previous comment and discreet link!
